A Poem by Ashley Lytle

Thank you for your consideration
I worked hard for those recommendations

Sleepless nights
My head in flight
Of course it matters
It's not like I'm about to shatter

At least that's what I say
To keep you at bay
Instead I'll just pray

Paper upon paper
Looking for my newspaper
Got my notes in the margins
Not looking for some bargains

Working the nights
Such delights
Pencil ready
Keepin' it steady

College level
Was it created by the devil?
Students disheveled
I ain't no daredevil

What is sleep?
It's for the weak
What is friends?
It's just a trend

At least I got my A

And that colleges consideration
Thanks to those math equations
