Bright Light

Bright Light

A Poem by Ashley Lytle

Blinded by this myth

Reaching for a hand

I'm left to fight alone

Going through the motions

Hunting for a meaning

To live through so much pain

Lifted up by a kind hand

I look for the heart

Gazing past the bright light

Haggard people all around

Telling legends of what can be found on the other side
