Seeking Solace

Seeking Solace

A Poem by Ashley

Searching for silence,
Seeking the solace
Of a soundless space.
Shivering without stillness.

Desiring dusk
To disguise distress
Divining delight
From the deepest of darkness.

A hideous hope
A heartfelt heartbreak
That hides the horror
Of my half hidden hatred.

God, grant me Thy grace
Ere guilt give me gall
Govern me gently
Holy Son, Godhead, and Guide.

this is so pretty. I love the way you used a different letter for each stanza. it was a little bit of a tongue twister but I enjoyed it a lot! it's very heartfelt and full of emotion. I love it.
