The Invitation

The Invitation

A Poem by Ashley

Grace me with another glance,
Come close, my friend, and take a chance.
Do you fear you’ll lose your soul?
I must admit, that is my goal.
Find within my flighty eyes
A love that always in them lies.
Do not turn away, my dear,
My heart holds nothing you should fear.
Shed your inhibitions quick,
and burn a chandle to the wick.
Writing of your love devout.
Or stand atop the roof to shout
Of my eyes and how you fell,
With one more glance, beneath their spell.
