Wishful Thinking

Wishful Thinking

A Poem by Ash Hamilton Smith

Looks like I'm at it again. Forced to replace the fate that stays inside my head. Looking for an upside to keep myself sane. See, I was losing my mind, watching my own sense of self slip aside. Needing a new perspective, with no one to blame anymore. I was trying to keep this ship from sinking, guess it was all just wishful thinking. It's about time I stopped living in the past.
