MIA Tears

MIA Tears

A Poem by Ashley Amigoni

This is not forever on a page,

incorportating the flashes of ideas on a

page--page--page--

Not a scoping, beeping sound searching

what you shut off and stowed and

signed your government contract for,

your payment to Big Brother.

This is not what I banded with you for,

your 10 years, your MIA tears and

fears--fears--fears--

Hopefully not shaking down in your depths,

the spying and Shh!!! lying

while I'm trying and caring and

working to be strong--not army--but a Big Girl!

This is not what a path--oh what a path!--

I saw, I see, I have seen!

but...but...but...

Not a choice, but a want, an epiphany!

Support from a port left months ago

and I'd swim to you, doggie paddle, float...

I'd do it all to get to (censored) boat.

This is what it is, all of it, now

and will be more to come and

What?  What!  What...

The final test and stand and a

day, month, year to wait.

This false home I fill, I know

I can, I think, for you.
