Blind Cry Fate

Blind Cry Fate

A Poem by Ashley Amigoni

Bleed, does my sleeve wear it?
Scoffing, laughing, then pain
I deepen my spun words
Deleterious they strike, threefold return
The outpouring abuse, I sign off
Pray
Pray tell, do my sober words appear clairvoyant?
Religion taught for charitable causes
Prayer broken by political pauses
Blind eye, don't cry, don't hate your fate
Flawed it is until this wake
Jesus doesn't teach, doesn't preach appalling words
Your dossier does do damage
Pray
Pray tell, are cherubs sent with erasers to expunge?
What waters without rainbows do you see?
Blind eye, don't cry, don't hate your fate
Bombs dropped, wrong targets, God will seek to rate
