Credulous

Credulous

A Poem by Ashley Amigoni

Indulgence of words and captivating hate

My muse of song and a blind eye

Unseeingly shivers with God’s fate

The wrong bed I itch to lie

My muse of song and a blind eye

Pessimistic past of wrongs much hushed

The wrong bed I itch to lie

A uncovered love cannot be rushed

Pessimistic past of wrongs much hushed

Hand outstretched, to push, to take

A love uncovered cannot be rushed

Silenced is he, this much is fake

Hand outstretched, to push, to take

Fallen again with tongue-tied truths

Silenced is he, this much is fake

Passionate is life, ruinous is youth
