UnblockA Poem by Ashley AmigoniWritten January 19, 2014
Pause before the fully empty page that could hold weight. Hesitate to place ink in a sorrowful motion, so wait. Any words born won't know how to dance. Their freedom spells fear, forms chaos and madness.
Instead, arms fold, hold, and cross. They tingle and shake. These feet, confused on which path to take. Body joins in completely on the brink, bound to break. And the heart, oh, heart!, cannot rest in the chest. Then breath. Breathe. Breathing. Suddenly a pens begins doing the sweeping. Cleaning the arms, polishing feat, body is calming as the heart takes a beat. The page is stronger than what was thought of before. The words with rhythm can dance once more. © 2014 Ashley Amigoni |
