Virginia

A Poem by asempiresburn

Are you a mess like me?

Years and years of empty words

Sewn up with empty dreams

You know it's hard to sleep

Cause when I do, I just dream of you

I will never forget you

Or the scent of your perfume

The first time you held my hand

The winter came too soon

You may have stole my breath

But you never gave it back

The tears run down my face

Just tell me what you meant

You know you left your heart

Tangled here with mine

I'm trying to forget about it

But you're still holding mine

I will never forget you

Or the scent of your perfume

The first time you held my hand

The winter came too soon

Tell me what you meant

When you said forever

And tell me honestly

Did you ever love me?

Maybe I was just a waste of time

But you were time well spent

And I will never forget...you

I will never forget you

You have a familiar style or soul of writing. I almost think i know you. Very sincere and geniune. You expose vulnerability with a undying longing... its very honest and cant wait to read more.
