So this is where it ends

You know we had so much to give

You let me hold you close

Without you I can’t live

 

The times we spent together

They were the best times of my life

And if this is your last song

I want to make it count

 

But lately I've been feeling sorry for myself

 

You held my heart

I will see you again

You know my heart stopped beating

When I said my last goodbye

 

Maybe I was just a waste of time

But I'm glad you wasted it on me

You were my everything

And sweetie you'll always be

 

And I can’t put into words

The way I feel tonight

The days get hard to pass

I always thought we'd last

 

So, this is goodbye

These words still echo in my mind

Was I such a waste of time?

Cause you were time well spent

 

And if this is your last song

I want to make it count

I wanted to be there

To wipe away your tears

I promised you a lifetime

I really like the title of this poem, though to be frank not much else. Maybe it's just me, I don't like these types of poems much, but I don't really find a good flow in the poem. So, good luck.
