Inside Its All the Same

Inside Its All the Same

A Poem by asempiresburn

I never got to stay up nights

On rooftops or clouds where

We'll watch over stars or rockets

And never leave the ground

One more night and trust me

I can fall asleep so that

If I were to never wake

You'd never notice me

I never got to tell you what you're missing

Are you aware of what you're doing?

When the veiw from every rooftop

Always looks the same

It's no use saying what you need to say

I'll sit with you tonight

And all they'll see is skylines

The letters you wrote to me

I still refuse to read

Tonight we'll sleep alone

With the words the she kissed goodnight

She sang with her last breath

And I swore we'd be alright

This conversation is going nowhere

So tell me it’s what you need

These words take days to reach me

In this diary you call a home

I never got to tell you what you were missing

Are you aware of what you're doing?

Never be the same

I swear to God I'm leaving you

Keep calling out my name

Keep calling out my name
