I'll Be Here

I'll Be Here

A Poem by asempiresburn

So this is something new

Like letters from lovers who lost their way

That found their way back to you

You know that it's true

The lights that flicker will surely fade

Love is for fools

I swear it's all old news

But I'll be here for you

I'll be here for you

When the lights shining through

You know it's nothing new

But I'll be here for you

I'll be here for you

This town isn't big enough for us

So let's get the hell out of here

And find some room to breathe

Are you asleep?

Let's keep it simple, let's keep it sweet

Don't ever change, don't ever change

Promise me you'll always be the one

I'm right by your side, you're never alone

I love the line: "The lights that flicker will surely fade."

Change happens all the time.
But what's important is whether you can change together.

This is a lovely write.
And it's almost like a song. :)
