If I Fall

If I Fall

A Poem by DeadGuyWalking(Austin)

If I fall will you be there
if I slip will you catch me
will you love me if I fail
or if I'm not rich
will you cry if I die
or will you say good riddance
if I cry will you as well
or when I laugh will you laugh with me or at me
will you love me if I have to go away or will you leave me

I can understand how some people would need reassurances requested in your well-stated poem, but I must be honest . . . a clingy person like this would cause me to run in the other direction. Most people cannot supply the level of reassurance this narrator seems to need. Life prevents us from being there for everyone we wish we could be there for, to a level that would be needed & appreciated. This poem represents too much to ask, in my opinion. But there will be others who feel this way & who will welcome these pledges, even if humans really don't have that much control over life *wink! wink!* I love your honest spirit & sincerity in expressing yourself! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Honestly I don't want clingy or anything like that because I to would go crazy or run.
