While the moon was red

While the moon was red

A Poem by Aradhana
"

A depressed girl finds herself in a helpless state and thinks of how miserable her life has become bringing flood of tears just because of cruel words and treatment given to her.

"

She cries in her room

Till there’s a flood in her bed

She moans at night

While the moon is red

She alews

But everyone is deaf

She was alone all this time

But no one ever cared

And she cries in her room

Till there is a flood in her bed

The room is shady

The night is fiery

And in that isolated cage

She has no one

Whom she can hold

There is no one

Who is her solasta star

There is no one

Whom she can count on

There is no one on whom she can lie down

So she cries in her room till there is flood in her bed

She moans at night while the moon is red

But she is not aloof

She has silence

She has trepidations all around

She has her heart breaking memories

Scares from the past

Chills of the future

With whom she lives

And with whom she might die

If she continues to cry in her room till there is flood in her bed

Still she is crying

Her pillow is all wet

Her eyes swollen

Hands shivering

Breathe choked

And heart broken

She is lying on the floor

Hair messed up

Cloths wrinkled

With the door shut tightly in despair

And she cries and cries in her room till there is flood in her bed

Moaning at night while the moon is red

Look! What your teasing did

How your taunts worked

What has your abuse caused

And how much did your fake sympathy worked

Had anyone showed up when she was alone

She would not have given up

If only someone tried to understand her feelings

She would not have ended up like this

But she was alone

Crying in her room till there was flood in her bed

Moaning at night while the moon was red

But alas!

Because of this cruel world

Because of the stone hearts

Because of her sensitive nature

She ended up

Pitying herself

Cursing herself

And letting this hell affect her smile

Though distance between her and happiness was never even a single mile

And she cried that day till there was flood in her bed

At last she died while the moon was still red………

Tragic beginning and end , but it bounds reader to go through this short tale in a one go and that's the marvellous thing one could perceive in this piece of writing. Emotions are highly depicted , so amazingly written.

Loneliness is a killer. A tragic tale of a young person who desperately needed a friend and had none. Red moons and more tears.

Thank you..i am glad u liked it😊
The daily life of far too many young people.
Not sure whose "fault" it is, just know that it exists.
Dramatically portrayed, poetess!

Thank you for your wonderful words Jimmy! Thanks a lot!😊😊
Loneliness especially in humans is a slow and agonising death.
To remind yourself each night must be soul-destroying.
You can see why some hide away and eventually fade away.
The good die young they say. Never truer than todays world.

yes! I totally agree with your words. The most disappointing is not that they die early for me, but .. read more
dealing with the loneliness of isolation because of the virus is even harder on those already feeling loneliness even when they are with a crowd.
and eventually they drown in their own tears, and then float silently, unheard, to the surface so no one can remember them.
