A Book

Books are an inseparable parts of our lives & for book addicts it is just unimaginable to survive without books. Here is a poem which expresses the love of a book lover & how much a book is desirable.

Unlike a thousand million stars

Enclosed in the universe

So are words

Enclosed in a book

Each page brings a new story

But still some or the other

Remains untraveled  and unrevealed

 

Thousands of lives are led

By a single person alone

As each book gives

Some strength to weaker bones

It is a home for the people

Who are all alone

And for dreamers

It is a lighted dome

Which brings new ideas

And an example for the one

Who really want to try

And get their work done

 

Changing perspective of the reader

Changing the perspective of an artificial  world

Winnowing the dust

From our mind and heart

Keeps people connected

Even when they are apart

 

Words are the weapon

Words are the cure

But when they get a companion like a book

They become truly pure

 

A book is an inspiration

For the people who are depressed

And a good friend to share all plans

They make us feel good

As if we are in open

Where no limits are there for imagination

 

Regardless of wealth

Regardless of past

It will always be there

When a person needs it

No matter whether it is day or night

For in day it is a shadow

And at night

A bright light………….

Very nice topic to work on.The virtues of books are infinite.You have focused on many aspects of books.
I like this stanza most:
