Broken Wings

Broken Wings

A Poem by Vava

Sometimes I look up at the endless vast cerulean skies
Wishing that I had angel wings to fly

To freedom I know not where I go
But to life it's something I must do

A life of loneliness is something I dread most
Yet I choose to die over a love I hold so dear

Dying is something that I fear not
Though my soul begs for death when my hearts is shot

I want to give my all to you with my heart so pure
Then knowing you're not fighting to love me is what hurts me most

In this cage of a world
How high can my broken wings just fly
