my shadow

my shadow

A Poem by Ender
"

traveling so far, and yet so close; my shadow was.

"
miles away, and yet
I am still as close to the shadow
who started with me along my voyage.
as if the horizon got any closer,
making no evident change was prevalent
like the black top that was smelted
with oppressive heat and tar.
under the influence from the sun's
sweltering heat, my shadow kept it's
taunting company to recall
and look back on of how much I traveled,
and yet made no significant distance
from what was.

this piece is to describe the theme of remembering transgressions. i have grudges; many in fact, but i some how view them as my shadow- so evident and yet can be forgotten in an instant.

this is kind of blurry to my mind. I like these lines: "and look back on of how much I traveled,
and yet made no significant distance
from what was."
good ending. I enjoyed reading :) as so often ;)

This is a cool poem. I enjoyed reading it. I read Emily Burns comment below and I kinda agree with her. "It's just stuff, let it go" Those are wise words.

my dad said something to me once, when he'd been dead long enough to know something, and it made perfect sense, "It's just stuff, Let It Go" are maybe the wisest words I ever heard
