My paper heart

My paper heart

A Poem by Ender
"

I will never be the same, just as a torn paper heart.

"
My paper heart; fragile as it may
be and replaceable, yet is one of a million
red confessions sent on valentine's day.
paper is thou paper, torn to be never the
same like before: neither by a gluing fix or
taping reconciliation can mend
what was a pure childhood craft made with
all passionate intent.
So be as it may, I will never be the same:
torn like a paper heart, that had all my crimson
red confessions with glittering impressions-
that was as a childhood's valentine craft.

I actually kind of like the repetition after "So be as it may, I will never be the same" because it reiterates the feeling within, giving the whole piece a lyrical quality.
My favorite lines: "neither by a gluing fix or
taping reconciliation can mend
what was a pure childhood craft made with
all passionate intent. "
I view this poem as a heart's cry... but maybe your heart isn't so fragile as you may think.. :)

Paper is still paper, torn
never to be the same as before:
neither glue can fix nor
taping reconciliation mend
what was a pure childhood craft

Playing with words sometimes. It is my opinion that the first section is strong enough that you don't really need anything after so be as it may . . . but you know your on heart best
