Shattered glass

Shattered glass

A Poem by Ender
"

Life can be as a shattered piece of glass.

"
What is there to do
as reality shattered
like an expansive
circle of glass

Innocence can't be
recalled when reasoning
gravity took the frail
ignorance from the
sweating hands

What then is there
to be done since there is
only shards of dreams
screaming cries that
glistened with light frights

A sweet sacrifice
made all security turn
to doubt as glass got
broken into fractions
by savage floor tile

How can a hand not
get struck with painful
experiences splintered a
once cherished whole being
now daggers of sorrow

Grief came with a morning
loss and dared a numbing
stupor to follow as you slowly
drifted by the expansive circle
of shattered glass
