Oh, Satan is an excellent student of human nature!! He knows our every weakness...yes, even better than we do!! He will catch hold of every negative thought that drifts through our minds, and magnify it, bringing it back to the forefront of our brains, over and over again...
Oh, yes...there is a nasty monster inside all of us...born of our own greed, our own jealousy, our own pride...
That is why we need a Savior!! And now, with the Lord by my side, I have the means to fight that inner demon. Oh, it is a hard demon, indeed...and as much as I would love to say that I have won every battle with it, that would be a lie...
A wonderful write Blue. You have an exceptional talent for describing our inner human thoughts. We all have one of those little monsters inside, but from the outside I see a confident talented poet. Keith.

I am so very glad I came across this. I have been struggling to fight off this persistent monster since so long. Sometimes I doubt if I ever can. I only figured it out a short while back . I loved the entire poem, each and every line. Fine ending. Thanks for sharing.

I can only hope. Thanks for the encouragement. You are very welcome.
Sometimes the biggest enemy of someone is himself, isn't it? When he want to do something for his progress, and yet his fear and confusions hinder him to do so...
Ah, that inner monster of us. Learn to control it, or else it will really control you.
Nice presentation, sis. Very remarkable.

Wow! Yes I think we all have a bit of that monster within us and there are times when that gleeful darkness seems to take hold and give us a right thrashing. It's a constant battle of the inner good versus the inner evil and I think we all have that and always need to be vigilant.
A thought provoking poem for me, showing the darkness. Well written

One of them is "Conquer whatever it is that prevents you from writing a piece." So I wrote this poem for my inner demon. ;) Thank you, Wordwarrior. And thanks for my latest award. :)
