Goddess of the MoonA Poem by Azure Montessa (Blue)My sentiments as I watched the moon one night.Goddess of the moon Reigning in the starless night Where is the crown That your mystic beauty demands? As you swim in the sea of clouds, Sweep the world in solemn silence And overwhelm my senses in greyscale... Goddess of the moon In deadly shade of melancholy, I pour out my sentiments to you. Cast a spell on me, a poet Enchant my fingertips And move my heart and my pen That my words may pierce a lover's soul... Goddess of the moon Watch over him tonight As he lies on his bed (or hers). Give him dreams of love Or memories of me That he will never forget The scars that brought me here to you... Goddess of the moon Sole witness to my tears Lull me to slumber. And as I sleep my thoughts away, I wish to wake up in your embrace... © 2013 Azure Montessa (Blue)Author's Note
