Stranger, Would You Mind?

Stranger, Would You Mind?

A Poem by Azure Montessa (Blue)
"

A message of a spellbound girl to a stranger.

"

Stranger, would you mind?

If I take the honored seat
     Next to your glorious throne?
Would you grant me the privilege
Of breathing divine air as yours?

Stranger, would you mind?

If I dip my fervent fingertips
Into your sea of golden locks?
Would you allow a mere mortal
To caress your face carved like a cherubim?

Stranger, would you mind?

If I dare steal a kiss
Just to taste heaven from your lips?
Would you accept my willing soul
And take me now as your own?

Stranger, would you mind?

If you command your celestial crowd
To suspend forever in this moment?
Would you trade your divinity
And stay in this city bus with me?

Just another attempt in free verse. This poem was inspired when I was in a bus, sitting next to a gorgeous guy. :x

You are most welcome Blue.
I love when you sit next to that one gorgeous person and you keep looking at them but try not to look strange.

Haha, glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. Thanks a lot! ;)
I like the poem. Bus rides can make us wish and hope. Good to have imagination and time to ponder on those long bus rides. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are a master of word usage, and the poem reminded me of that Joan Osborne song 'What If God was One of Us?', though I realize that was not your intention. The poem does portray the sense of awe when one sees someone extremely attractive. Of course instead of telling him any of this, she just sat there shyly, but who hasn't had an experience somewhat like this? I liked this, very good job!
