To my Divine Lover
A Poem by
Azure Montessa (Blue)
one-stanza message to the One nailed on the cross
Come, Lover, down that shameful tree
With your bruised and bloody arms, hug me
Drown me in your sweetest embrace
Let me, like Veronica, wash your beautiful face.

I like it, you have a good start, I'd keep going. 'The lover of your soul' is certainly the inspiration for countless poems. Very beautiful as it stands now, but you could perhaps think of the other stations of the cross as inspiration for other stanzas. I've always loved the legend of Veronica and the Mandylion.
