A Glimpse of Heaven

A Glimpse of Heaven

A Story by Azure Montessa (Blue)
"

What heaven is like.

"

I have a story to tell. But it isn’t a story to start with. It is a dream. A dream that I have treasured in my heart for years. A reassurance of a wonderful destination we all desire to reach. This I have kept for safekeeping and for future references. This I have written to share what I was shown…

It was just an ordinary night for me. There seems to be no sign of any approaching danger or something. I was awake, yes. And there was an unknown force which brought me to the window of our humble home.

As I stared up, I saw stars twinkling in the dark sky. I was so fascinated that I took time to watch them in their splendid elegance. I rested my chin on my right palm as I amused myself with the scene.

A few moments later, a very bright figure descended from above. In a blink of an eye, It floated right outside my window.

I was taken aback when I recognized who It was. It was none other than Jesus himself! I didn’t see His face because of the blinding radiance all over His body"head to toe. He shone brighter than the sun and if compared, the latter would just be a mere darkness.

Before I could move a muscle, Jesus moved His right hand, palm open, as if encouraging me to come with Him. His hand paused in front of my astonished face, waiting for my response.

Still in stunned disbelief, I couldn’t make up my mind. After that momentary pause, I reached out my hand to Him.

The moment my palm reached His, light illuminated my sight. Everything just went white and"I guess, I somehow felt a wave of sudden joy. When I recovered my sight, Jesus was nowhere to be seen. Instead, I found myself surrounded with puffy white clouds. I was literally stepping on them!

As I looked around, several angels gathered around me. They had snow-white robes and wings. I couldn’t distinguish their gender and I was also deprived of the chance to see their faces.

One of them instructed me something that sounded like this; “Go and feed the chickens.”

I followed my gaze to where that angel was pointing. Meters away, I saw chickens indeed! They were almost a dozen and were eating seeds some angels were dropping on the clouds.

As I was approaching, an angel handed me a pink pitcher (exactly the one we had at home) and a handful of seeds. I did what I was commanded.

Moments later, they told me to follow them. I returned the pitcher to an angel and I tailed two or three angels in front of me.

We walked passed well-furnished rooms which left me awestruck with their size and awesomeness. But when we walked further, I noticed that the rooms were getting smaller and simpler. I wanted to ask those angels but decided not to, so I kept my mouth shut.

We walked and walked until we came to an abrupt halt.

“This is your room in heaven,” one said.

My jaw dropped and disappointment dawned on me upon seeing a very simple room. I actually had a better one on earth! My bed was made of wood. And a single white pillow on its head doesn’t make it appear any better. Two young angels were standing beside my bed. The other one was on the left side and the other was situated on the right. I reckoned they were the ones attending the room"my room!

But I still couldn’t digest the fact that mine was the simplest that I had seen so far. Although it would be a great privilege to occupy a room in heaven, why couldn’t I own something better?

Just then, I heard a voice and turned to see where it came from. A man in white"though I failed to see his wings, stood few feet from me. He spoke with authority when he said this;

“You have witnessed enough. It’s time for you to go back to where you came from.”

And that ended my dream…

Sorry for the grammatical errors. I wrote this when I was only fifteen years old.

A nice dream. The angles my not have gender even though there are suppose to be different types of angles.
I would correct the grammar errors and put it in a contest. It has very good visual quality.
I would settle for a small room in heaven if it is as wonderful as it is suppose to be. Better than a big room in hell.
Thanks for sharing

Wow, this was amazing my friend. Your descriptions are vivid and even though short, your story seemed to bridge all of time. Very nicely done. What I get from this is you were shown your room as it stood then, when you were fifteen and also shown rooms of others who had much more time on earth to furnish their rooms with good deeds they had done. Perhaps when you are much older, if you live your life for the good, your room may be the prettiest in the place. Just my opinion.

I hope there's bacon. Lol, my pleasure Blue! ;-)
While I believe spirituality to be an individual journey and do not subscribe to any particular religion, this dream account still had meaning for me, not just as another reader, but as another person wondering what happens when one passes into death.

Thanks for the insights, Rob. Glad you dropped by. ;)
Very cool, thanks for sharing. The scriptures say; My Father's house has many mansions. We build our own home in heaven by the choices we make here on Earth.

No problem.
AH, you must have been disappointed with the tiny room. But now that you are 'back where you came from' perhaps next time you will have a much bigger room!
