My Lovely Daughters

This is my absolute favorite poem that I've written.

 

 

MY LOVELY DAUGHTERS

Eyes that sparkle, skin so fair,

with a sweetness beyond compare;

smiles so bright, hair so gold,

butterfly kisses, love untold.

 

They are my daughters, my lovely girls,

they are the center of my world.

I’d give my whole life for them,

my heart, my soul, my love again.

 

Little arms that hug so tight,

tiny whispers of “goodnight”,

“peek-a-boos” and giggles, too,

melt my heart through and through.

 

I hold them close as they sleep;

I’ve never felt a love so deep!

They are so beautiful, I know,

because the Lord made them so!
