Lyrics to The Siren's SongA Poem by Ciara Di SalleVanity, Loneliness and rugged duct tape holding me together, Keeping me from falling a part, falling to pieces, but The adhesive wears thin and Holds less with Every time I am Ripped to Shreds
Falling into the arms of another All to early with the gentle breeze Of isolation. Absent-mindedly searching For companionship only to be Let down- And Again And Again And Expecting it now Waiting Patiently for every fall out Taking a wide bite out of hope one Beautiful disaster at a time. I fear it will leave only the smallest crumb, Only to be gobbled up by the beast of Desperation. Everyone Smiles Everyone Leaves I try now to enjoy the time in-between The grins and departures And take the remains for what meager joy they brought
about- I’ll moan no more.
