Be Advised

Be Advised

A Poem by Trayce
"

Advice is infinitely easier to give than to live by. Just do it God Damnit!

"
Take up heart young man,
The world still turns
Pain still hurts the way fire still burns
Everything is spinning...
Or is that just the poison talking.
Stars are still farther away than you will ever reach
Rather to better appreciate the world beneath your feet.
Be here now,
Open your eyes and see
The waves of music in which we sink
Many have anchors on their ankles
Tasting salt and steel
Some with balloons in their heads
Some with hearts as fragile as false reality
The only sure thing is uncertainty
Put all your money on that,
There are no safe bets.
The only guaranteed profession is mortician
Never trust a priest  or a politician,
Two or more faces are too many
One person is difficult enough to deal with.
People will love you more if you are happy
The only beings attracted to misery
Are vultures and the inhuman homo sapien
Cruelty is the only unforgivable infraction
If you have to scream it.
You will regret releasing it like a demon or serial killer.
That pet alligator will grow to enormous proportions.
Some problems snowball.
Avoid anyones downward spiral
The vortex can drag you in like cement shoes
Black holes are mysterious for a reason
Stay away from crazy people
Stay as close to madness as possible without anyone knowing
Don't stay in one place too long
Relax... breathe... breakdance.
Kiss the girl
F**k the world, consensually.
Don't let gravity keep you down.
Seriously, don't be so serious.
Sometimes you will fall apart,
But you can always blame it on entropy.
Freak out, only when absolutely necessary
Calm down, only when absolutely necessary
Repeat yourself, only to check out the echo.
Brush your damn teeth!
Spit in depressions face
Raise your middle finger like a ships mighty mast in the face of a tempest.
Keep full sail!
Chart a course over the edge of the world.
If you are to disappear, at least it will be into legend
I can think of no better suicide mission
Than living life like a one way ticket
A trip to another planet without the fuel for the return voyage
Letting people play hackey sack with your heart
Will harden it over time, but also leave it tenderized
No one likes a quitter
No one loves an addict
No one tries too hard ever.
Risk is an unavoidable fact of living and dying
Not every decision will be right.
You are going to mess up,
It is going to hurt
I'm not going to lie,
But,
If you ever feel vulnerable,
Pretend there is a knife between your teeth
Forcing you to smile.
Let it gleam brightly
