The Day of Demons

The Day of Demons

A Poem by Martina

So many few

Had broken hearts

Sucked dry

From the evil one

Picked clean were their bones

Till they crumble to dust

And scattered by the wind

So many few

Survived that blood sucking creature

Their hearts crumbled

And the body’s drained

Till pale as white snow

So many few

Lived to tell the tale

Of that blood sucking creature

How it’s brutal strength

And inhuman speed

Bested the best of men

Till their bodies were crushed and

Their bodies tossed

Like rag dolls

So many few

Forgot that day

The day the demon

Massacred the town
