A Haiku-Sonnet on Love

A Haiku-Sonnet on Love

A Poem by Arthur Rider
"

combining each line as a haiku to the phrase form of a sonnet

"

I'm caring for you. Love is more than kissing you. Is love always true?

Love can possess you. Feelings run deeper in heart. Love can be real fun.

But love can be more. Is it real or fantasy? Wishing I'm with you.

The race has begun. Life together forever. Love's prize can be won.

The time is now come. Prepare for what is to be. True love is the test.

Caring for the one? A Sacrifice of the heart. Love is more than life.

Love cares for the one. Words do not speak like action. To want what is best.

Love can also hurt. Painful loss & emotion. Cutting like a knife.

A precious treasure. Priceless, more than any gold. Brighter than a gem.

Love can bring new life. Funny & yet serious. A relationship.

The thorn & flower. Each side will bring a feature. The bud & the stem.

Working together. In every condition. Don't let the love slip.

Love in media. Comedy & tragedy. True love is more real.

Real love is harder. Love means giving all you have. To act and to feel.
