Don't Speak

The silence between us,
It's beautiful.
No words are needed,
No need to express how we feel in words.
The twilight sky,
The weeping willow,
The high hills.
The silence between us
Is as pure as the environment surrounding us.
No need to litter it with hollow words
When we can show each other how we feel.
The silence speaks for us,
So we don't have to.

I couldn't agree with this poem more. When it comes to friends or a boyfriend/girlfriend sometimes words don't need to be spoken. You can tell how one another feels without a word and you can be there for each other without saying a thing. Really enjoyed this. Beautifully written.
