Broken

Broken

A Chapter by Luna
"

Open Heart, Insert Dagger

"
Watching them together,
They flirt,
They laugh,
They kiss.
It hurts,
Feels like a million daggers
Stabbing my heart repeatedly.
Do they know how much it hurts?
Do they see that they are breaking me,
Shattering my heart,
My security,
My mind,
My life,
Into thousands of tiny pieces?
It is as if I am a clock
And each flirtatious word takes out one gear,
One cog,
One band,
Until I am an empty box,
A shadow if what I used to be.
I'll be their broken clock,
The mouse they torture with putting cheese on the trap.
Do they notice?

This is amazing. Sometimes people don't really notice the emotions that come across your face and especially your eyes. It shows that this poem is filled with pain that is expressed very, very well. Well written.

Easy to read but hard to fathom and swallow; pain and hurt seeps from every crevice in this piece, but it does paint the picture well. Wonderfully written.
