Goddess Of The NightA Chapter by Luna
Her hair is made of the stars,
Billowing out behind her as she slowly walks, Longing for her lover Who has been banished to the earth. Her cries, the ocean waves Crashing against a moonlit shore. Her beauty is too much for any human to see. She wanders through the night, Lighting the night sky for her children. Her children are the creatures of the night. They come out as she does And hide when the sun shines bright, Bringing pain to their eyes and blinding them. She promises them safety, Pulling them to her midnight breast And placing them in her hair, Making them the stars when the time is right. © 2010 LunaReviews
