Chapter 12

Chapter 12

A Chapter by Luna

“My, oh my, she is amazing! Maria, sounds Spanish. Travis keeps getting in my way, though. Damned boy! She was mine. I would kill him if I could… Maybe the next battle. My gun might just slip… then she would be mine. The poor girl won’t know what hit her. She will be laying down with me. Oh yes, our beautiful bodies will be one.” As I draw in a sharp a deep laugh drifts through the wall. “Shut up. I will kill him or my name ain’t Slag!”

“Damn you, Slag! Go to hell!” I scream as loud as I can so they can hear me through the wall.

“Wot?! Who the hell said that!” Slag yells back in surprise.

“Maria, you b*****d!” I start screaming for help.

“Wot?! How the hell do you hear me you b***h?!” Travis bursts into the room carrying my dress and underclothes, scanning for anyone who could be hurting me.

“What is going on? Maria, are you alright?” Travis sets my dress down and is by my side in a matter of seconds. The tears start rolling down my cheeks, tears of fear.

“Slag was on the other side of the wall. He-he was telling someone that he is-is gonna kill you and then… and then… and then…”I choke up, a sob coming out instead of the rest of the sentence.

“Shush now. I am here and he won’t hurt me or you. That damn man can’t hurt a fly, let alone kill me. Just tell the captain and he will be fed to the sharks. So shush now, my love. We need to get you dressed for dinner.” His eyes are full of concern though he still has the mischievous smile on his face when he mentions I need to get dressed. He slides my pants off, trying to have as little contact with my skin as he possibly can, and puts on my underclothes (including my undergarments, which turn him a beautiful shade of red). He takes off my shirt, puts on the corset, ties it tight, and pulls the dress over my head. He puts my stockings on (which make him turn red once again because he sees my knees) and slides the delicate, blue slippers onto my small feet. He combs my dark brown curls, ties them with a blue ribbon, and finally picks me up so we can head to the glorious dinner the captain has prepared for us.

Lol, I remembered that back then, women didn't show anything, but nowadays they hardly wear anything.
