Drowning

The truth about love as I see it

 

They say loving someone

Is a privilege.

More like a pain,
A suffocating pain

Like when you are drowning.

You see the person

And you can’t breathe.

You know you don’t have a chance

And it’s like

Your lungs are quickly filling with water.

If you get out of it alive

You know that

You will always have an after affect.

You’ll go on with your life

But you’ll always be afraid of water.

You’ll remember the dreadful time

When you were drowning.

LOL... This one is pretty good, it made me smile with a chuckle and that is excellent. I falling in love is a lot like drowning but for me it is a sensation I live for. After a heart has broken and learns that it can recover there is no reason to fear love every again. I like the verse,

"Like when you are drowning.
You see the person
And you can’t breathe.
You know you don’t have a chance
And it’s like
Your lungs are quickly filling with water."

I know that feeling of knowing you don't have a chance that made me chuckle to no end. Great image you painted here. Excellent write
