Change

A Poem by KAJ

Cold ocean waters drown every last thought
An absence of hope aches inside her head.
Waves of endless space beat down dream upon dream.
Forgotten time wasted wanting to be dead.

Deep breaths of salty air cleanse a lonely soul,
Loves light falls softly like droplets of rain.
Shadows of total darkness wash away,
The gentle wind blows, soothing most of her pain.

Agony fades, replaced with a modest peace,
Time altered life, special moments come fast.
Accepting this gift creates a fresh start.
A heart once frozen becomes revived at last.
