Confession

Confession

A Poem by beadsman

And then we parted

One cold day,

With much words being

Left to say.

The feelings were left untold

And all I could hope,

Was that maybe she understood.

But time passed by,

And there was no reply

I looked into the skies

With dreams in my eyes,

Maybe soon we’d meet

One fine day

And then I’d say, what I had to say.

But lil’ did I know

She was already far away

And my dreams were shattered

Like fragile clay.

Maybe it was me,

Who couldn’t tell

How much in love

With her, I fell.

I used to scoff myself daily

This broken down ‘being’, this isn’t me!

But my stupid, arrogant heart,

Seemed to disagree

Now as I walk

Through the pouring rain,

All the memories

Rush back again

No more can I

Bear this pain,

So thus… finally

I put down my pen.
