This Game Called Love

Seems like it was only yesterday

That we got involved in this game called love

Those fairytale lies that we used to tell each other

Got ourselves blinded in a world where we thought

We could not live without each other

But in this game called love

We’re just two players

Playing with our fate and fooling around

When some words we say tear us apart

Those same words come back and strike us in the heart

And make us wanna step back

And play it really hard

Until one surrenders to the sweetness

Of this game called love

Love is a serious game. We can pay forever for the errors in love. I like the way you led the reader into the emotion and the desire of love. Surrendering is a good word for taking down walls of fears. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
