The Sickness Of This World

The Sickness Of This World

A Poem by Amila Jay

Mortality ruined by fame

Words that slip through the brain

Part the soul from the anger and the pain

Of an anguish and a desire to burn in the vain

A gut feeling; a rush of blood in the sense

In a stale room haunted by the shadows

That gathers to form a sordid memory of the past

Praising the sickness of this world to suffer in hell

Direct and honest feel in your words. Sometime we must fight demons and shadows. Hard to see good in our world on the highway to hell. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

A tough, bitter poem, well written, maybe a shade too negative for my taste, I have a lot of great things to remember, moments that outweigh the bad ones

sometimes memories can be the only thing that , one is afraid of and you have brought that out from behind the shady tree of your mind.
