Almost Whole

Almost Whole

I am a jigsaw puzzle

And you are piecing me together

You have control;

The master of my destiny

Slowly and carefully

You place me into groups

My edges, corners, insides

Pushed apart to resume order

Piece by piece I reconnect...

Your steady fingers

Rebuilding the elements of my soul

It's just a game to you- a hobby

Pulling me apart and fixing me up

I am near completion! Almost whole!

But my soul displays gaps

You'll find the missing pieces in a box

Labeled "you"
