RescueA Poem by aronjmWritten 3/1/2002I can see you faintly From across the mildew moat A drawbridge stands: The lone obstacle keeping you from me
The water seems a reflection Of the green in your eyes My prince charming, daring and bold On his way to rescue me!
At last, my love, you arrive at the bridge I wait with anticipatory trembles...
Time passes, slowly as you watch me With a gaze of expectation
Bewildered; I wonder You stand still in my contemplation And then, realization
It was you who needed rescue all alone © 2011 aronjm |
