Life

A Poem by Myranda Arnesen
"

For my dear friend Cody... May lonliness and sense of loss leave your heart...

"

Your aura was of silver and gold,

Strewn with white.

So bright was it,

That it hid your pain.

A small child destroyed,

A heart blackened,

A shadow in your soul,

Your mind shattered.

Allow me a chance,

To help with your pain.

To let another mother,

Take care of that helpless child.

Let me create that small child,

Give light to his heart,

To remove that shadow,

To piece your mind together again.

If I must sacrifice my own self

For the sake of another,

I’ll gladly take that chance,

If only for you.
