Two Futures

We didn’t even know each other

Two strangers in two different places

Neither one of us could have predicted this

What happened next has become a miracle

You and I didn’t even ask for this

It was something I never wanted in my life

You weren’t ready for any of this

Then everything began to change

Our lives seemed to morph in a matter of seconds

I wanted to be with you more times than not

  Each time we talk a smile always crosses my face

You have become my rock

The persons who holds me together

You’ve become my protector and I became yours

Every day you bring such happiness to my life

I can talk about you for hours

We’ve made our mistakes though

Taking each other for granted

Becoming our own worst enemies

Almost letting what we have fall apart

Losing everything in one small movement

Yet somehow we made it to here

Here were we sit cuddled up together

Planning the next steps in our lives

Knowing we’d be nothing without each other

Holding onto the thing we once never wanted

Holding the person we once never knew

Cherishing every minute we have together

Our hearts now belong to the other

You have become my inspiration in life

The force that helps me through life

Knowing were lucky to be here

To fall in love more each passing day

And now two futures are one
