Y-man

A fantasy poem, revolves around a dream, all imaginative but surely it has a deep meaning.

In a dream, you see that the sun doesn't rise
tomorrow.
And you get surrounded by the darkness, submerged
and swallowed.
You are lost in the town of terror, fear takes your
breath away.
Everywhere prevails signs of evil,
creeping creatures sway.
You feel slightly faint as you could barely
see anything.
Dragons fly around, one goes zoom and strikes your chin.

Suddenly your ground starts to quake
and cracks apart.
It swallows you underground and you fall down hard.

You are screaming out loud as you go feets
down and down.
Then you hear someone screaming 'I am coming hold on'.

Ultimately the hero comes and saves your life.
He takes you out to a safe place, the superhero in flight.
But when you see his face you get totally surprised as

He is neither any kinda superman nor any X-man.
He is none other than just me, your lover, your man,
say, the Y-man.
And he tells you.

So likewise I'll always protect you from all harm.
I'll always be your hero, your(Y) man, your prince of charm.

Now you wake up from that dream, it brings you a smile.
And whenever you recall it,
you paint a picture of me as your superhero, in your mind.

Author's Note

I think every man is a hero to his love, what it takes is a promise to stay.
By the way, I wasn't active on this site for a long time but now as I am here I'll definitely be looking toward to read your writing stuff too.

Fun with fantasy. Yet, I look for truths everywhere and meaning in trivial fansies. The "why" of life and love is heroic. Few ever really seek the "why" of life. We accept limiting beliefs and limiting assumptions.
Be a "why" man indeed. Even if you simply are following the alphabet to find what comes after "X"...
Then we can discuss DNA and chromosomes. Ha.

Yes, but there is so much more possibility beyond the obvious... This is the beauty of dreams. They have layers of meaning even beyond what we think we understand. So it is with poetic inspiration. We are vessels and our intention may not even come close to the potential of our artistic offerings.

Very sweet, every man should be his woman's hero, but I feel it goes the other way. As lovers, companions, friends and partners, we are to support each other and save each other.
