Season's of Faith

A Poem by Armanis

A reflection on human life, the spiritual life as well by seasons.

Seasons of Faith

This leaf; green and moist under the summer breeze

Gently dancing on thy skin as it were so

How pure, perfect and untouched by man’s sting

Friends, families, and Foes; This is God’s foot print!

This leaf, orange as it is despairing.

Orange, red, yellow, the colors of fall,

Being eaten by the unseen darkness.

These rainbows of leaves, beautiful as sin!

Nothing is all that’s left, it all decayed

It all withered away, forsaken.

This fall, certainly like no other fall

To Oblivion! To Oblivion!

Not all green is lost in Oblivion

Dear my dear, it is never quite too late

The God I love is a loving creature.

For even in the cold dark of winter…

There is spring also, most beautiful spring!

You found my leaf in the Oblivion,

You revived its wondrous color green!

Thy green thy grace is sufficient for me

I will serve you Lord, to my ending day.

Like that leaf, no greater sinner was I,

Like the seasons, wrath and mercy on me

My soul is like the great murky bay!
