Sonnet 1

Sonnet 1

A Poem by Armanis

I cannot look into your eyes divine

God, You are too good and too pure for me.

Filled within my soul, the shame of my lies

Of the sinister wretch I am to be.

Can you not hear me? Oh how my voice cries

How can you invite me a cup of tea?

For me, her, him, them; your son Jesus dies

How good, gracious you are to die for me.

Behind the stone, Jesus your body lies,

Killed by those that decreed it, Pharisee

Oh how Sinister the lie people buys.

I was one, yet you have forgiven me.

Thank you for your infinite loving grace,

Give this world you love, great bountiful tastes.
