The BridgeA Poem by The ArKA bridge that I cannot cross
On a cold winter night
I look up the sky and see a star shining bright. I know that is you. Pinned to the infiniteness of the fabric far above. You know I can't come- seeking you, cause- I can't cross that bridge. But I still see you, a shadow at the far end, like a drop of tear- hanging off an eyelash. You know, my legs don't have strength to walk that far and run away with you. But I will, one day, cry a river- below that bridge and Kiss your shore. And we'll sail away, far to the end of the world. Till the river meet the ice cold ocean. © 2019 The ArKReviews
