Thoughts

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

We look back to our childhood years the comfort of old friends For all must see, forever we fear how this life must end

"

From time to time I wonder thoughts

that dream of what might be

I wander glade, stroll promenade

make sense of all I see

____________________________

Valleys, rivers, majestic woods

of these, playgrounds are made

Where my clan, played kick the can

and man was measured, weighed

____________________________

We look back to our childhood years

the comfort of old friends

For most must see, forever we

fear how this life must end

__________________________

That promise of a wondrous place

where we forever play

Bestows the thought, it may be bought

through faith if we don't stray

______________________________

What awaits us there, up above

that we do not have here

Life's greatest strength, comes not from length

but springs of love not fear

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
I say what matters in this life? Could it be we learn kindness is it's own reward? I will talk to God when and if I see him. But friends don't need help in Heaven. They need help on Earth. So I shall do the best I can with the resources allotted to me. May all your wishes come true.

Love- Indifference- Hate, of the three, Indifference is the worst , it has no weight, no side to sit on , energy none, just illusion .Then there is Tate, He has whittled away at himself, done what we are scared to do .He knows what he means and means what he knows. We survive, endure this Devils world, and Tate he gives us hooks to hang our thoughts on.

Amazing ending Tate, truth in all facets, wonders, and insecurities, driven in poetic beauty. This is a beautiful well thought out piece of Poetry, with Religion as a main subject. I enjoyed it muchly, however I'm atheist, raised free and bright to see.

It does not mean, I don't feel this art, it's recognizable in many things in life.
Many questions a one has in life you paint here with strength. And that's born out of your inner self.

Nice thoughts Tate...reflection can be the wondrous realization of this walk or journey of life that one cherishes...and yes the expiration of our time here may at times be continuously on our minds, but as you say it is the embracing of love not fear that can guide us into the after life...love and peace my friend...

This really reminded me of an old childhood friend that i havent spoken to in years. I cant believe you played kick the can. I thought that we were the only ones that done that. I'm gonna have to see if i can get in touch with him again, it's been too long. A perfect recipe for life. I have always believed that kids have the answers but have to become adults to bring those answers to life. I don't see it as an insult when i am called a big kid. It is who I am and I love having that wonder still in me. Perfectly captured as always Mr Morgan. Fear is only a question we cant find an answer for. This helps to show us the way.
ps...You should seriously check out oscar mazarolli's site. The picture you have used is his essence. he was a photographer of Glasgow life and has sadly passed away. nut the pic you use encapsulates his mantra. Real life, real people.
