Bearing for her life's burdens soothes the children of their tears Is the rock all others break upon leaves fond memories are his years

Author's Note

Tate Morgan
Last Christmas I laid it out on canvas. It was given to Michael as a present. Little could any of us imagine how prophetic these lines would become. Yet none the less he remains the one deserving in my mind of such an honor. When I met Michael I thought he must have great parents". And so he does. Michael s life ended tragically a few days ago. What's left to say but we loved him we miss him. Nothing fills that void.

It sounds like he had it all. It's a mystery to me..how one can be blessed with so much in his/or her life. Yet there are some souls that always feel empty. They never feel attached to this plaine...his peace is without explaination.
His loss a reminder that some smiles are only for show...to assure others that everything is okay. I think we are all guilty of this. The facade we put on while living on this earth, it's an unfortunate misconception..that those left behind will have to live with...carry the burden of. I hope you and your family find peace...and can heal. However...I know the pain will be real forever and ever. My thoughts are with you my friend.

This is one of the best poems of yours i have read.. all those perfections we strive to achieve in our mundane lives has been so beautifully translated in words of yours... the embodiment of these qualities is no doubt one of God's finer creations......I am sorry for your loss Tate

I'm sorry for your lost. Good friends are rare and they will be missed. I like the photos and the story in the poem. We must remember the good people who had touched our life.

Life is such a mystery isn't it? It will give and take from you as it please, without asking if this is a convenient time. It was a wonderful tribute to Michael and it takes a special man - indeed a special person - to embody the above characteristics.

Your words tell of a man's worth, his integrity, and how he touched so many lives. I experienced the effect he had on the people in his life, though I never met him. A beautiful tribute.

It was this poem that broght me to this website. Mike was a dear friend of mine. I couldnt wait until April of this year because he was supposed to get a transfer to Delawareand I was going to get to work with him again. He broke his promiss to me this summer we where supposed to spend a whole case of 5.56 togeather and I already have the case. A very fitting poem for such a wonderful and loving friend.
