Warm Hearth

Warm Hearth

A Poem by Tate Morgan
"

An autumn robbed by winters chill Makes way for loveless cold The winter flakes upon my sill Tell this young man he is old

"
Becky and I

Now that the summer’s light is gone

winter's dark shadows appear

The morning lit by cool white dawn

stays away another year

An autumn robbed by winters chill

makes way for the loveless cold

The winter flakes upon my sill

tell this young man that he's old

Each year passes onto the next

quicker than the one before

As now we place it here in text

loving hearts each wanting more

I mourn no more my wasted years

they leave no sound as they go

I remember no lonesome fears

as I gaze on home fires glow

The winter cold can do no harm

to the warm hearth built of life

Created of strength, love and charm

The waiting arms the good wife

The winter chill is much warmer and less biting to me this year. Having gotten married I see sunshine everywhere nowadays.

A beautiful picture, a beautiful song and beautiful words ..

love colours the spirit, puts fears into shadows, it's the sum total of living.

Oh you knew this would touch my very soul Tate. This of course made me smile, weep, and feel such a warmth deep inside. Your words always come from deep inside where many of us have no clue of even it exciting never mind being able to go there ourselves.. I wonder on the magic that exists in your thoughts, as you write, what goes through your mind? For to me it's magical, a true gift that the good Lord above has bestowed upon you and my friend, you are indeed blessed and truly lucky..

Hugs,
Mags xx

you write incredibly... your words can make them see... feel and believe... in this magic that you have so profoundly reflected upon... the second and the last paragraphs were my favourites... great work.... great poetry...

The allusion of cold with age, the allusion of summer with youth..Its wonderful !! But the ultimate resilience and peace is found, discovered and cherished in the warmth of the love which does not grow old but kindles and rekindles..Excellent thought..Well done Tate !!

Quiet reflecting on times gone by
No longer need compare to the eye
Now welcoming tunes of present time
Where beauty beholds us, here we shine

Beautiful, I've come to expect nothing less than that from you!

I agree with Chelsea and Littlelittlepurple bride. This poem is very pretty and beautiful. The picture matches so perfectly, and the song makes me laugh. The lyrics are to the song are really unique. I live in Florida where I don't see any snow. The only thing we get is cold air. This poem is very inspiring and uplifting Tate. You are a great writer. I don't see where I would improve upon it.
